Quantify connective tissue vs. epithelial tissue for prognosis

Human tumor tissue contains a large amount of connective tissue, or stroma as it is called. The proportion and distribution of stroma in a tumor is of prognostic significance.

Our Stroma program measures the stroma to epithelial fraction by digital tissue analysis. Our ongoing studies have demonstrated that the stroma fraction is an independent prognostic marker in prostate and colorectal cancer.
