eJA

The project Electronic Journal Archive (eJA) includes test scans of paper journals, assessing the quality of OCR-reading, as well as testing different indexing mechanisms to make journals available digitally.

Overview

Researchers today use a lot of time going through a large number of paper journals to find relevant data. The project’s goal is to find methods making it possible to search and make available the patient journal via eJA and MEDinsight.

Roadmap

• Redefine goal for OCR-reading and indexing. Reduce project group.
• Initiate development of OCR-interpreting and form approval.
• Recognize a specific form using Kofax software.
• Retrieve data from chosen form using Kofax software.
• Show data in MEDinsight.
