Medical Informatics

Medical informatics is a multidisciplinary science at the intersection of information science, computer science, and health care. Informatics tools, processes and behaviors make it easier for clinicians, researchers, patients and people in general to do the right thing, in the right way, at the right time to improve health care for all.

How can we be of service?

Covering a wide field from clinical databases to image analysis and robotic surgery, medical informatics has become an inherent part of most medical disciplines.

Medical informatics incorporate and integrate research, clinical care and public health to enable everyone to be supported by informatics-based information and communication systems and technologies.

The Institute of Medical Informatics (IMI) brings scientists, researchers, users, developers, consultants, doctors and suppliers together in an environment of cooperation and sharing — to research and develop the concepts needed to improve health care.
